Experience
Has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in community settings including intensive in-home and group therapy in addition to outpatient. Has previous experience providing medical advocacy, legal advocacy, crisis counseling, child sexual abuse prevention, and survivor support groups. Involved in efforts to increase awareness of mental health and services available to the Hispanic population in Brown County.
Specialties
Provides therapy to individuals ages 4 and up on a variety of issues related to challenging behaviors, parenting, mental health disorders, self-esteem, abuse (sexual, physical, and emotional), depression, anxiety, grief and loss, cross-cultural adjustment issues, and other stressful life events. Therapy modalities used are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness. Trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Evidence-Based Assessments (EBA), and Trauma Informed Care (TIC).
