Experience:
Experience working with children and adolescents ages 3 – 18 as well as adults in a variety of settings. These experiences include work at a child/adolescent day treatment facility, county outpatient mental health clinic, clinic and in-home ABA therapy, in-home respite care, domestic violence shelter, college campus support group, crisis counseling, and volunteer work with children involved in the child welfare system. Provided individual, group, and family therapy within these roles.
Specialties:
Provides therapy services to children ages 4 to 17 and young adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress symptoms, low self-esteem, self-injurious behaviors, suicidality, LGBTQIA+ and gender identity issues, attention and impulse control, disruptive/aggressive behaviors, family issues, and/or anger. Uses a trauma-informed approach to help clients achieve treatment goals. Utilizes principles of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, person-centered therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills in individualized approach to client’s treatment.
