  • Baby Basics
    (For New & Expectant Dads)

    This FREE class will teach you how to enhance your baby's future and what to expect from your baby in the coming months.

  • 1-2-3 Magic
    (For Parents of Children 3-12 Years)

    Learn how to stop behavior you don't want and start the behavior you do want. Discuss positive discipline, praise and reinforcement. Please plan to attend both nights.

  • Managing Meltdowns
    (For Parents of Children 5 and Younger)

    Of all the behavioral problems parents face from their children, meltdowns (also known as tantrums) may be the most upsetting and hardest to manage. Parents who have learned to fear tantrums have an extremely difficult time maintaining control of their own homes. This one-night workshop will help parents regain control, discuss the three main causes of tantrums and learn a four-step process for meltdown management.

  • Surviving Your Child's Adolescence
    (For Parents of Teens 13-18 Years Old)

    This one-night workshop walks parents through the ups-and-downs of parenting teenagers as their kids push toward independence. A step-by-step approach to handling teenagers, this workshop helps parents end the hassles and improve their relationship with their teen(s). Parents learn how to communicate with teenagers, how to manage teenage risk-taking, how to "let go" in certain situations, and when to seek professional attention.

  • Love & Logic: Early Childhood Parenting Made Fun ®
    (For Parents of Children 3-6 Years)

    Effective communication, choices and consequences are the cornerstones of this interactive, three-session series. Learn techniques of creating a happy family with responsible kids!

  • Raising Girls
    (For Parents of Girls 3-13 Years)

    This one-night workshop will give parents hints and tips to help them raise a special girl. The first step is understanding what a girl is dealing with as she grows up. Whether she is still playing with dolls or on her way to the tween/teen years, all attendees will take something away to help the harmony in their home. We will discuss the nuances of girl friendships, self-esteem and body issues, and how to help her establish an individual identity.

    Nurturing helps families learn alternatives to spanking, get along better, communicate more efficiently and establish closer bonds. Class meets once a week for 10 weeks.
