  • Baby Basics (For New & Expectant Dads)
    Learn about handling, feeding, burping, changing, cleaning & calming a newborn infant; what to expect in the upcoming months; and how fathers are critical to enhance baby’s future.

  • Preventing Power Struggles
    It's easy to slip into a power struggle with your child over small and large issues. Power struggles can create distance and hostility in the home. In this workshop, parents will learn how to build trust while maintaining a safe learning environment; how to avoid power struggles altogether; how to set reasonable limits and expectations; and how to use routines and schedules to minimize struggles in the home. Presented by UWO-Head Start.

  • Parenting Toolkit
    Strategies and Tips to respond to daily challenges with children 5 and younger. Kids hear the word “No” more than 400 times each day! What can we say instead? We can help parents replace the unhelpful things we say with helpful things that will foster cooperation versus power struggles.
