    (For New & Expectant Dads)

    This free class will teach you how to enhance your baby's future what to expect in the coming months.

    Presenter: Parent Connection
    Our children bring us incredible joy. Yet, there are times that we find ourselves crabby, frustrated or angry with the people we love. Learn how to manage anger to improve your relationships. Learn the five stages of anger and the top ten anger producers. Get to know your own anger and anger style, and how to manage your anger to create a more harmonious home!

  • Autism 3.0: Understanding Autism and Advocating for Your Child
    Presenter: Diane Nackers, Autism Socity of the Fox Valley
    Parents - want to learn more about autism? Want to learn how to be an advocate for your child and tap into community resources? Join us for a discussion on what autism is, what it is not, dealing with behaviors in a positive way, common characteristics of those with autism, helping your child, and resources/help for parents.   • The Importance of Fathers
    Kids of involved fathers are better adjusted, have higher self-confidence and tend to do better in school! Learn more about the importance of dads in the lives of their child.   • Setting Limits/Boundaries without Guilt
    Presenter: Deb Kozak, UWO-Head Start
    By setting limits for children, you help them learn self-control. Parents will learn positive discipline and communication ideas to minimize frustration in the home and foster a more well-rounded, confident child.

  • Nurturing Parenting
    (For Parents of Children 0-12 years)

    This workshop helps families learn positive discipline techniques, how to get along better, communicate more effectively, and establish closer bonds. Class meets once per week for 10 weeks. Free dinner and child care provided each evening.

  • Managing Meltdowns
    (For Parents of Children 0-5 years)

    This one-night workshop will help parents regain control, discuss the three main causes of tantrums and learn a four-step process for meltdown management.
