Experience:

More than 10 years of experience in the mental health field, including outpatient counseling with adults, teens and children at community-based agencies as well as school-based mental health services to at-risk children and their families. Worked at the only accredited rehabilitation facility in the country for survivors of cultic/clergy abuse and trauma. Has also worked extensively with individuals with long-term mental illness.

 

Specialties:

Sexual abuse, trauma, domestic violence, cultic and ritualistic abuse, clergy and spiritual abuse, self-injury, depression, anxiety disorders, grief/loss, disability adjustment, stress management, anger management, children's issues, parent/child issues, self-esteem, career/vocational, and women's issues. Utilizes techniques that are specifically geared toward the client including cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems therapy, play therapy, supportive therapy and trauma-focused therapy.
