Women’s Recovery Journey

Women’s Recovery Journey is an Integrated Intensive Outpatient Program for women and their families. We provide services for women who are in need of treatment for AODA (Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse) and/or other mental health issues. Our purpose is to help women recover from their addiction and become better able to care for themselves and their families. We believe that women have special needs regarding treatment, and this program provides the necessary therapeutic, educational, and supportive services to meet those needs.

Who is Eligible?

Any woman over the age of 18 who is in need of services for alcohol and other drug abuse is eligible. Pregnant women have priority in receiving our program’s services.

Services Provided

  -  AODA/Mental Health Assessment

  -  Skills group - offered mornings, twice a week

  -  Resource Assessment

  -  10-15 week intensive outpatient therapy groups offered mornings

  -  Family programming including therapy, educational groups, and multi-support meetings

  -  32-week aftercare group offered once weekly in the morning or evening

  -  Care coordination services

  -  Child care is provided during all group programming

  -  Integration and cooperation with other community agencies; multi-support meetings using the wraparound philosophy 

     and a strength-based relational model.

How is Women's Recovery Journey funded?

The program is funded through a grant from the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services.
