TransParentingSM

Brown County

What is the TransParenting program?

TransParentingSM is an educational program designed to teach effective parenting during the transitions of divorce or parental separation. It impresses upon parents the critical role they play in their child's ability to adjust to changes surrounding divorce.

Why must I attend?

Brown County Circuit Court requires all divorcing parents to complete the program. It is in the best interest of your children

that you learn how to parent as a divorced individual. Your understanding and knowledge can help your child through the

divorce process. It can also help you avoid expensive legal battles over parenting.

What if I refuse to attend?

Your divorce may not be granted. Individuals can be held in Contempt of Court for failure to attend.

Course Times and Locations

Each course is four hours in length, held on the second Saturday of each month from 8:00 a.m. to noon. All classes are held at Family Services, 300 Crooks Street, Green Bay.

Cost and Pre-registration

The cost of the program is $40, which includes the parent handbook. What you learn may help you avoid additional legal
