Open Door Youth Services

(Serves Door and Kewaunee Counties)

Open Door Youth Services focuses on runaways and all other youth in crisis throughout Door and Kewaunee Counties. A primary goal of the program is to resolve conflict and reunite runaway youth with their families as quickly as possible. Staff of Open Door Youth Services will respond to requests for assistance to all youth in crisis situations where and when it is needed.

Today’s youth may face many difficulties including:
  -  Family problems
  -  Lack of communication
  -  Relationship problems
  -  Difficulty at school
  -  Self-esteem issues
  -  Alcohol or drug abuse
  -  Mental health issues

Open Door Youth Services provides the following services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week:
  -  Voluntary telephone and face-to-face crisis intervention and family mediation 
  -  Shelter arrangements as needed
  -  On-going intervention services for runaways and other youth in crisis that include the youth’s family
  -  Information and referrals
  -  Education and outreach

The program is staffed by degreed professionals trained to assist youth and their families in crisis situations. Contact with Open Door Youth Services by youth and their families is kept strictly confidential. All services are provided free of charge.
